Dillon Dingler Wins June AL Player of the Month

AL Players of the Month: June 2026

June gave the American League plenty of standout performances, but Dillon Dingler and Drew Rasmussen separated themselves with dominant months on both sides of the game. Dingler delivered one of the best offensive stretches by any catcher in baseball, combining power, contact, and run production in the middle of Detroit’s lineup. On the mound, Rasmussen gave Tampa Bay consistent length and elite run prevention, putting together one of the most efficient pitching months in the league.

Dillon Dingler

June Stats:
  • 35 Hits (2nd in AL)
  • 25 RBIs (T-1st in AL)
  • 8 HR (T-5th in AL)
  • .333 AVG (6th in AL)
  • 1.011 OPS (5th in AL)

Dillon Dingler’s June was one of the strongest offensive months by any catcher in baseball. He finished the month with 35 hits, 8 home runs, 25 RBIs, and a .333 batting average, giving Detroit a consistent source of power and production in the middle of its lineup. His month was not built on one short hot streak, either. Dingler produced throughout June, including multiple multi-hit games and several big run-producing performances.

What made Dingler stand out was the combination of power and contact. He was not just driving the ball out of the park, but also creating steady offense with extra-base hits and run production. For a Tigers team looking for consistent impact, Dingler gave them one of the best offensive months in the American League and earned the nod as AL Batter of the Month.

Drew Rasmussen

June Stats:
  • 3 Wins (T-4th in AL)
  • 33.0 IP (T-5th in AL)
  • 39 Strikeouts (2nd in AL)
  • 0.82 ERA (2nd in AL)
  • 0.61 WHIP (1st in AL)

Drew Rasmussen’s June was built on complete command and dominant run prevention. Across five starts, Rasmussen went 3-2 with 39 strikeouts over 33.0 innings while allowing only 3 earned runs. His month included several standout outings, highlighted by 7 scoreless innings with 9 strikeouts against Miami and 7 scoreless innings with 13 strikeouts against Boston.

Rasmussen gave Tampa Bay length, swing-and-miss ability, and reliability every time he took the mound. Even in his losses, he kept the Rays in games and limited damage. When combining his strikeout production, low WHIP, and ability to consistently work deep into starts, Rasmussen’s June stands out as the strongest American League Pitcher of the Month performance.
