Saturday delivers a compelling doubleheader with major implications across the NFC. The Eagles travel to Washington with a chance to clinch the NFC East, while the Commanders look to play spoiler to a division rival. Later in the day, the Packers and Bears renew one of the league’s most storied rivalries. The winning team will claim the current top seed of the NFC North, making this arguably the most important game of Week 16.

PHI Eagles @ WAS Commanders

The Eagles are just one win away from becoming the first team to win the NFC East in back-to-back seasons since 2004! It’s been a rollercoaster of a season for the Birds, with 7 of their wins coming from one-score games. They had a huge bounce-back game last week against the Raiders, blanking them 31-0. They face a struggling Commanders’ defense and should have that same success on Saturday.

The Commanders have been eliminated from this year’s playoffs, and now look to either play spoiler or tank for a better spot in the draft. They broke an 8-game losing streak with a 29-21 win last week against the Giants, but they should struggle against Philadelphia’s 6th-ranked defense.

BEST BET = Jalen Hurts Over 24.5 Rushing Yards

Jalen Hurts has regained his rushing capabilities in the second half the season, averaging 27.3 rushing yards in his last 7 games. The Commanders just gave up 63 rushing yards to QB Jaxson Dart last week. Our model gives Hurts a 69.60% chance of rushing for 25+ yards on Saturday.

GB Packers @ CHI Bears

The Packers will enter this game without their star linebacker Micah Parsons who suffered an ACL tear in last week’s loss to the Broncos.  They pulled off a 28-21 victory over the Bears a few weeks ago, but are plagued with tons of injuries heading into this matchup along with Parsons. The Bears bounced back from their loss to the Packers with a dominant 31-3 win over the Browns. First year head coach Ben Johnson has turned a 5-win team to a 10-win team and counting, throwing him in the conversation for Coach of the Year. The Bears control their own destiny and have a chance to claim the NFC North title for the first time since 2018.

BEST BET = D’Andre Swift Over 49.5 Rushing Yards

D’Andre Swift has had a spectacular season behind Caleb Williams, averaging 71.9 yards per game on 4.9 YPC. He diced up a strong Cleveland defense, rushing for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns last week.  Our model gives him an 88.15% chance of rushing for 50+ yards on Saturday.
