Week 17’s FIQ Five: 5 Players To Optimize Your DFS Lineup

Discover BTA Sports’ top DFS picks for Week 17. Use our projections to maximize your daily fantasy lineup.

Week 17 brings a smaller Sunday slate, but there’s still plenty of DFS opportunity if you know where to look. A handful of matchups carry real scoring upside, and several key players are positioned for reliable volume in condensed roles. With a few notable mismatches creating clear value, these are my top five DFS picks to anchor your Sunday lineups.

1. QB Jalen Hurts (Proj: 25.1 / DK $6,600)

Jalen Hurts is our model’s highest-rated QB entering this slate while having the third-highest salary. This high projection is likely due to his consistent fantasy output (20.2 FPTS/G) as well as Buffalo’s inability to contain dual-threat QBs this season.

2. TE Trey McBride (Proj: 20.5 / DK $7,500)

Trey McBride is having a historic season, just 8 catches away from breaking the single-season reception record (116). He leads all tight ends in receptions (109), receiving yards (1,098), and receiving touchdowns (10). He faces the 32nd-ranked defense against TEs, so expect a dominant performance on Sunday.

3. WR Tetairoa McMillan (Proj: 14.2 / DK $5,900)

Tet McMillan, the current favorite for offensive rookie of the year,  is having a solid first season, just 76 yards away from a 1,000 yard season. This week he faces a solid Seattle secondary, but they struggled last week against star WR Puka Nacua. While having the 10th-highest DFS salary, our model gives him the 3rd-highest projection in points.

4. RB Ashton Jeanty (Proj: 13.2 / DK $6,100)

Ashton Jeanty had a breakout performance last week against the Texans, one of the best offenses in the league, totaling 188 yards and 2 touchdowns. Averaging 15.4 FPTS/G, he gets a great matchup against the 31st-ranked Giants this week.

5. WR Chris Olave (Proj: 12.0 / DK $7,200)

Chris Olave has emerged as a top 5 WR in the past few weeks, scoring 60.3 fantasy points in his last 2 games. He has the 4th most targets amongst WRs this season (145) and plays the 22nd-ranked defense in Tennessee.
