Paul Skenes (+225)

Skenes captured the 2025 NL Cy Young after posting a dominant 1.97 ERA with 216 strikeouts across a full ace workload, leading the league in several advanced metrics. After setting the standard in 2025, he enters 2026 as the clear pitcher to beat in the National League.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (+500)

Yamamoto finished third in 2025 behind a sub-2.50 ERA and over 200 strikeouts in just his second season the league. With that level of command and consistency already established, he heads into 2026 firmly in the top tier of contenders.

Cristopher Sánchez (+1000)

Sánchez surged to a runner-up finish in 2025 after his league-best 8.0 WAR 212 strikeouts in over 200 innings pitched for the Phillies. His breakout campaign positions him as a legitimate co-favorite entering 2026 rather than a surprise name.

Hunter Greene (+1400)

Greene’s 2025 season was shortened due to injury, which limited both his innings and counting stats compared to the prior year. He still managed a 7-4 record and a 2.76 ERA, looking to build on that momentum into 2026.

Chris Sale (+1400)

Sale also had a his season cut short due to injury, but he was able to log 165 strikeouts with a 2.58 ERA and strong strikeout totals, continuing his resurgence as a frontline starter. Replicating that health and production in 2026 would put him squarely back in the mix.

Blake Snell (+1800)

Snell joined the Dodgers last season, and after getting injured early in the season he only saw playing time at the tail end of the season. The two-time Cy Young winner is always in the running if he can have a full season.

Logan Webb (+2000)

Webb finished fourth in 2025 after leading the NL in innings pitched (207) and strikeouts (224). If he can bring his ERA numbers down while maintaining late game pushes, he has a chance to be back in the conversation.

Zack Wheeler (+2000)

Wheeler did not pitch a full season, but in his 24 starts he led the league with 11.7 SO/9. He has been in the Cy Young conversation for 5 of the last 6 seasons, and don’t expect that to change in 2026.

Spencer Strider (+3000)

2025 was a season to forget for Spencer Strider, coming off injury he posted a 4.45 ERA in 23 starts, unable to get back to his old form. With a full offseason to prepare, he has a chance to be a dark horse candidate for Cy Young if he remains healthy.

Shohei Ohtani (+3000)

Ohtani was limited in his pitching last season coming off an elbow injury, throwing for just 47 innings. He was able to keep a sub-3.00 ERA and an 11.87 SO/9. If he can pitch 30+ games in 2026 he has a chance to claim both the MVP and Cy Young.
